Top Notch Cabinets & More had the privilege to meet and work with the Hartmann's to remodel their gorgeous historic farmhouse from the early 1900's.
Mr. Hartmann is a fifth generation Texan whose family came to Fredericksburg from Germany like so many others that settled the town. This home and surrounding land is adjacent to his family’s land where he grew up. He named the road Hartmann Ranch Way to honor his parents.
With such precious and meaningful history to this home, we were very humbled and grateful to be chosen to help with the remodel.

"Our project was to renovate our 1904 ranch house and add 1,000 square feet. Our search for cabinets took us to several local custom cabinet makers. We decided to work with one of them, but his schedule was very imprecise, so we had to look elsewhere. I contacted our designer who drew up our plans to see if she could recommend someone. She had just recently received a call from a former classmate who was working at a cabinet company here in Fredericksburg: Top Notch. We checked out their products and landed on the Showplace line of cabinets. Our main reasons for this choice were: all drawers have dovetail joints and solid wood sides, high-quality (Blum) soft-close drawer glides and door hinges, factory paint and finish coat, and the ability to customize every step of the way. Working with the cabinet designer was a wonderful experience – he showed us that the customizing possibilities are endless! The installation process required many extra steps and effort due to the old structure, but the installers persevered to deliver a very professional result. We are extremely happy with our beautiful cabinets and would strongly recommend Top Notch and the Showplace line. The Top Notch folks are great to work with and we are thrilled to have this kind of resource in our community."
